Description
Celebrate the launch of Sky Writing, a new collaborative work by Veteran Artist Kat Rae and acclaimed author Adrian Caesar. Blending poetry and illustration, Sky Writing brings together Adrian’s lyrical writing and Kat’s evocative visual art in a deeply reflective and beautifully crafted book.
This special FOVA26 event invites audiences to gather for an intimate reading and artist talk, accompanied by a curated display of the book’s illustrations and poems. The exhibition will feature words and images hung side-by-side, offering a glimpse into the collaborative process behind the book.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy drinks and nibbles, meet the creators and hear Adrian read from the collection while Kat discusses the artistic concepts and visual storytelling embedded within the work.
The launch and artist talk will be held at the ANVAM Gallery on the evening of Monday 23 March; Adrian will then host a poetry workshop from 2–5pm, Wednesday 24 March, creating a natural flow between the book’s themes and the workshop’s focus. Launch attendees are warmly encouraged to register for the workshop if spaces remain available, as the launch will spark insights and inspiration for anyone keen to explore writing, imagery and creative process.
This event is open to the Veteran Community and general public. Refreshments will be provided.
