Description

Inspiration & Perspiration: The Sentence and the Line

In this two-part poetry workshop, acclaimed writer Adrian Caesar leads you through both the spark of creation and the craft of refinement. The session begins with an exploration of where poems come from, how ideas form, how a first draft emerges and how to get words onto the page. You’ll then have dedicated time to write and follow your own creative thread.

The second half of the workshop shifts into technique, taking a close look at the sentence and the line, and how these elements shape a poem’s rhythm, meaning and emotional weight. With Adrian’s guidance, you’ll return to your draft to edit, refine and discover what your poem wants to become.

The workshop closes with an optional opportunity to share some of the work created in a supportive, relaxed environment.

Ideal for absolute beginners and experienced poets alike, this workshop offers both inspiration and practical tools to strengthen your writing and deepen your craft.

This workshop is open to the Veteran Community.
