Description

Join Veteran Artist and Photographer Michael Smith for an inspiring walk-and-shoot workshop that brings together a love of nature, storytelling and the art of capturing great images. Designed for photographers of all experience levels, this session blends practical tips with hands-on exploration in the field.

Michael will guide you through the essentials of wildlife and nature photography, from choosing the right lenses and understanding light, to composing shots, capturing movement and telling a story through your images. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to practice on both static and moving subjects, experiment with different techniques and get real-time feedback.

Whether you’re new to your camera or already passionate about wildlife photography, this workshop is a relaxed, supportive space to learn, share and talk all things nature and photography.

Bring your curiosity, your questions and your camera. Let’s go exploring.

This workshop is open to the Veteran Community.

What to bring

Your preferred photographic equipment, comfortable shoes for walking, and a drink bottle. Bring a cable to connect your camera to the screen at ANVAM if you would like to share your photographs at the end of the workshop (time permitting).
