Description

ANVAM is pleased to host the ninth annual March to Art (M2A) Exhibition, our flagship showcase celebrating the creativity and artistic excellence of Australia’s Veteran Community. Each year, the M2A Exhibition is shaped around a theme chosen by the Veteran Community: a reflection of the ideas and conversations resonating most strongly within the community.

For 2026, the theme is Curiosity.

The 2026 Exhibition explores the spark that drives every creative act. The urge to question, to explore, to imagine, to suspend judgement and to look beyond the obvious. The collection will feature a diverse range of works across including painting, photography, textiles and written works, capturing the individual artist's reflections of and perspectives on what it means to be curious.

Curated by Jo Brown and Tanja Johnston, M2A invites visitors to engage deeply with the stories, experiences and perspectives of Veteran Artists. The launch event offers an opportunity to meet the artists, hear about their creative processes and be among the first to experience this engaging body of work together.

Through the ninth edition of this much-loved exhibition, M2A continues to champion Veteran creativity and foster connection between artists and the wider community.

The M2A Exhibition will be open to the public as follows:

  • 10am - 4pm, Sat 21 - Sat 28 Mar 25 during FOVA26

  • 10am - 4pm, Tue & Thu, 31 Mar - 23 Apr 26

  • Open during the April Veteran Artist Meet-up, 1 - 4.30pm, Saturday 18 Apr 26

The M2A Exhibition is open to the Veteran Community and the general public.
